About Me

Writing the ‘About Me’ page is very hard. How do you define yourself, how do you define how you would like people to see you? Well, I live in Amsterdam with my girlfriend and you will find my profession, educational background and personal interests below.

Work

I work for Kroese brands & behaviour as a consultant, we specialize in management consultancy, marketing, communication and ICT in order to optimize the marketing communication of our clients. Social media is one of the domains I work in, the other is business development, between those two, I get to do my work either pitching to future clients or enabling current clients to communicate their added value better. Turns out that’s quite rewarding!

What I did before Kroese is the following:

• Marketing manager & entrepreneur at Netgamez BV

Education

After an Atheneum education on de Werkplaats, Bilthoven, which I finished in 2003, I moved to Rotterdam to start International Business Adminstration. This turned out to be very short lived because after just a semester I decided to call it quits and switch to commercial economics at the Hogeschool van Rotterdam. When Netgamez B.V. opened its office in Amsterdam in 2006, I had to start commuting a lot, resulting in a move to Amsterdam. At the Hogeschool Amsterdam I graduated in commercial economics, resulting in a bachelor of business administration. For now, I have decided not to follow-up with a masters, this might ofcourse change in the future.

Leisure
As you may understand I like playing videogames, even though I worked in the industry professionally for a time I still enjoy it. Other interests include snowboarding, fashion, fantasy books and philosophy. I would include the interests I use in work but I do not like to repeat myself.
