Facebook launching a new photo app?

While I’m still waiting for Instagram to be (FINALLY…?) released on the Android platform, Facebook is going to join the fight for the top ranked photo app. TechCrunch reports that Facebook is looking to launch an app that:

Either way, based on the images in front of us, the best way to think about it appears to be Path meets Instagram meets Colormeets (Path’s new side projectWith — with a few cool twists.  And obviously, it’s built entirely on top of Facebook’s massive social graph.

Latest Mobile OS battle results

Gartner recently published a Q3 report on mobile phone sales, focusing on both brand and operating system to determine market share. Zune HD to fail?

iPod Touch; gaming device of the near future?

With just short of 22.000 games available on its App Store, the position of the iPod Touch as a gaming device is really taking off. With the two major competitors only having 3680 (Nintendo DS) and 607 (Sony’s PSP) Apple is taking the lead as one of the biggest mobile gaming platforms. The recent iPod Touch price cut only reinforces Apple’s position by allowing for more people to own their entry-level device. (more…)
